THE STICKING PLACE is an interactive documentary exploring the journey of elite athlete, Leah Callahan, a freestyle wrestler with a dream to compete in the 2012 Olympic Games. At the 2011 Canadian Wrestling Championships, Leah came within mere inches of defeating her biggest rival, ten time national champ Ohenewa Akuffo. With the Qualification Trials as the final barrier between her and a spot on the Olympic team, Leah has 9 months to push through the most intense training and deep down soul searching of her life in order to come out on the other side with her dream in hand.
Contained within the magical web screens of The Sticking Place is this timeless story about what it takes to live a passionate life. Through the ups and downs of her doubt, elation, breakdowns and revelations, Leah’s journey becomes an invitation for each of us to consider who we are, and who we want to be.
